The 2GATo-CCC welcomes universities, NGOs, communities, institutions, organisations, policy makers, SMEs and artists to address the role of African communities for climate mitigation and adaptation.
Objectives
- Empower African universities, local NGOs, and communities to fund the transition to sustainable development through CO2 Compensation projects.
- Enhance the synergy of research, teaching, learning, and social mission in the field of SDGs and climate change mitigation/adaptation.
- Present, discuss, and promote GATo African based CO 2 Compensation certification for small-scale community-owned projects and climate partnerships.
- Celebrate and promote community-based climate innovations and practices.
- Foster South-South, South-North cooperation, and collective actions in achieving climate justice.
